Shaitan had a poor first day at box office although some of the prime multiplexes were better in the evening but overall business will be limited to these prime multiplexes. The film has very limited scope outside the the 6-7 big cities. The first day business was around the 1.10-1.20 crore nett mark.
The other Hindi release Love Express had very low collections.
