Ra.One had a good second Monday thanks to the Eid holiday as it collected around 2.50 crore nett taking the four day weekend to around 12 crore nett approx.
The collections on the second Monday thanks to Eid are actually the third highest of the year after Ready and Singham. Ready which is the most appreciated film of 2011 collected a huge 3.75 crore nett on its second Monday and Singham collected around 2.75 crore nett while Bodyguard and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara collected 2.25 crore nett each. Basically the holiday means Ra.One collections are double of what they would have been if it had been a normal Monday.
Ra.One will add around 15 crore nett in its second week. The film has been helped hugely with a favourable release date in terms of an extended opening weekend and many holidays in its run.
It is due to the favourable release timing that the film will register a 65 crore distributor in the domestic market which is fourth highest of all time.
