Ra.One had a huge opening of $6 million overseas (INR 30 crore). The three day opening is the fourth biggest ever after My Name Is Khan, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Om Shanti Om. In Overseas Shahrukh Khan has the top four openings out of the top five with Three idiots in fifth place. The figures from major markets are as follows. The film had a 600 print release in Overseas which is biggest ever.

Australia - $340,000
Pakistan - $250,000
The Far East has also done phenomenally well as a circuit like Singapore beat the Three Idiots business in just five days and Three idiots was second biggest Hindi grosser ever in the market.
Ra.One may emerge a blockbuster in Overseas but has mixed word of mouth so it remains to be seen what numbers it can put up but the daily breakdowns in some markets suggest a drop.
The business it is doing is mainly due to the SRK craze in overseas as these type of films are not Overseas friendly due to many special effects heavy films from Hollywood with bigger budgets. The film is unlikely to hit 100 cr overseas business but may do 75 crore which is still extraordinary.
