Desi Boyz Boxoffice Opening Pre Release Prediction - Gautam Batra

Desi Boyz is an upcoming Hindi dramedy film directed by the debutant Rohit Dhawan son of veteran director David Dhawan. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Chirangda Singh & Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. While Sanjay Dutt & Omi Vaidya also star in cameo & supporting role respectively. The movie is produced by Eros International & is set to release on 25th Nov 2011.

Lets start with the prediction....

1.The promos are hugely appreciated by the audience and the music is also a hit with two songs 'Title Song' & 'Jhak Maar Ke' being chartbusters while 'Subha Hone Na De' & 'Allah Maaf Kare' also being liked immensely.

2. The buzz has picked up big time since last few weeks due to excellent promotion.

3. The movie promises to be a family entertainer with every kind of masala in it but 'A' certificate will restrict some audience.

4. The movie stars Akshay Kumar in the lead who is coming after more than 7 months in a movie and also John Abraham who has established himself well in the industry after New York, Dostana & Force.Force was appreciated by audience and increased the popularity of John hugely.

5. The pairing of Akshay & John has been loved by masses in Garam Masala so they will surely love to go for it. Also Akshay, Chirangda & John Deepika pairing seems fresh.

6. The movie trailers give very fresh feel in it which will surely excite audiences in both multiplexes & single screens.

7. Audience is awaiting a complete entertaining film from a long time as no movie in past is universally accepted & it is coming after two weeks from Rockstar which is currently on the drop.

On the whole Desi Boyz will have a good opening day but not extraordinary. Opening day of 8.5-9.5 crore nett can be expected.

Disclaimer:The prediction is my own idea gathered from the surveys & buzz about the movies. It is accurate to best of my knowledge but the final boxoffice figures can be sometimes different due to uncertainity in boxoffice. The figures given are the nett domestic figures.
