Singham starts well at single screens and average at multiplexes

Singham started extremely well at around 90% in single screens and was average at multiplexes with 50-60%. Overall the opening was good but the low start at multiplexes will hurt first day all India collections. The film is being appreciated in some areas but in others not so much. The good single screen turn out should ensure success but how big will depend on what happens at multiplexes over the next week or so.
