Murder 2 had a humungous weekend of 22 crore nett as per early estimates. The approx weekend breakdowns were 7 crore nett on Friday, 6.50 crore nett on Saturday and 8.50 crore nett on Sunday.
The occupancies for Murder 2 over the weekend are the second best of the year after Ready. The film has been released on 1000 cinemas but it is not a multiplex heavy release so the 22 crore nett number is simply fantastic.
The film is a sure shot hit and the weekdays will tell where the film is going but Murder 2 has all chances of emerging the second blockbuster of 2011 after Ready.
