What Were The Expectations:

Produced under the banner of Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sajid Khan Housefull 2 carries a lot of expectations from the music due to the fact that they have given very good music albums together in there past like Hey Babyy & Housefull. Also Sajid Wajid who are the music directors of this sequel to the Hit movie 'Housefull' have very good past record. Expectations are high and nothing less than previous music albums would be accepted.

Music Analysis:

There are only four tracks in the album which is really disappointing. It is not a musical film but if it had atleast 6 songs, that would have been better.

1. Papa To Band Bajaye is the first song which starts the album with a bang. One of the most funny songs ever and already on the lips of every youngster due to its very humrous lyrics and catchy music. Neeraj Shreedhar has sung the song with excellence. A sureshot chartbuster which will be loved by everyone of every age group. 4/5

2. Then comes the most hyped & awaited song of the album Anarkali Disco Chali which disappoints a bit, because the expectations were so much high from this one but somehow it fails to impress. Overall it is not at all bad and comes out to be a decent one due to voices of Mamta Sharma & Sukhwinder Singh but the high expectations, average music from Sajid Wajid and so big claims from the team make it disappointing. Lyrics are good. 3.5/5

The song comes in two more versions 'remix' & 'hyper mix' which ends up making you like 'Anarkali' finally.

3. Right Now Now is the next song which carries a western feel with it and will make you dance to the tunes. The song is very urban type & will be loved by youngsters but it doesnot has that overall appeal. Sung by Waajid, Sunidhi Chauhan & Suzzane DMello the song is good and will grow on minds with time. 3/5

Remix version of the song also goes the same way as the original version.

4. Album comes to an end with a soft romantic duet number by Shaan & Shreya Ghoshal Do You Know which is a typical bollywood love song. The beautiful voices of both the singers makes you listen the song again & again. Shreya Ghoshal deserves an applause for her excellent voice & singing. Music is decent and lyrics are lovable, The song will be even more loved if the video also works. Do You Know marks a very good end to the album. 3.5/5

Remix version is too good and sets the mood for both dance & romance. It is the best remix of the album.

Overall:

Overall the listener will surely feel the lack of songs in the album but with all the four songs being good, album is satisfying and worth a buy. It doesnot matches the expectations but also doesn't disappoints. Papa To Band Bajaye will be a sureshot chartbuster with Anarkali Disco Chali close to that, Housefull 2 comes out to be a decent album.

Rating: 3.5/5
