Bodyguard grossed around 2.75 crore nett as per early estimates on the first day of its second week. The film lost a lot of screen space due to the release of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan at multiplexes.
Saturday should see a jump and Sunday will be very strong and weekend business should come in between 13-15 crore nett depending on the growth over the weekend.
Earlier Salman blockbusters like Dabangg and Ready showed huge growth over the second weekend but both films had open runs but here Bodyguard has competition in the form of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
