Vicky Donor is a universal hit, having worked in India and also on international shores, but the icing on the cake is the audience feedback across the globe. No wonder, the makers [J.A. Entertainment, Rising Sun Films, Eros and Rampage Motion Pictures] are contemplating making a sequel to this super-successful film that has attained cult status.


The prime reason for taking the brand Vicky Donor forward could be attributed to the overwhelming response by those who have watched the film, besides, of course, its victorious run at the box-office. "The box-office success coupled with the awe-inspiring feedback across all mediums has prompted us to think on those lines. Yes, we are contemplating a sequel, not because we wish to capitalize on its popularity, but because a film like Vicky Donor is not merely a film, it's a movement," Ram Mirchandani of Rampage Motion Pictures confirms. 


Ronnie Lahiri of Rising Sun Films echoes similar sentiments, "Sure, a sequel is in the pipeline, but it ought to have something to offer. We won't go ahead for the sake of making a sequel. It ought to be a socially relevant film. Right now, director Shoojit Sircar and writer Juhi Chaturvedi are brainstorming on what issue we need to tackle next. Vicky donor has achieved cult status and we need to respect the sanctity." 


One thing is for sure. The sequel to Vicky Donor -- whenever it materializes -- will be looked forward to with fervor and enthusiasm.
