After Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, Imran Khan has signed up for yet another challenging role. This time round, he will be seen playing the role of a U.P. boy in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies, a film that revolves around a small town cinema hall where Imran not only works, but also moonlights as a film pirate by shooting illegal videos of the films that are being screened there. The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures.
While confirming the news, Tigmanshu said that Imran Khan is indeed doing the film and they will start shooting around January 2013. When we spoke to Tanuj Garg, CEO- Balaji Motion Pictures, he said, "Yes, Imran has been confirmed for the film, and the lead actress will be finalized within a month's time.
This will be Imran's second movie with Balaji after the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai which will go on floors this August.
