Ready has emerged the first blockbuster of 2011 with amazing business on weekdays after a bumper weekend. The final figure for Tuesday came out at 6.75 crore nett approx and Wednesday again looks over 6 crore nett as per early estimates.
The business of Ready so far is around 62.50 crore nett and the week is likely to end at over 68 crore nett. The falls on the weekdays are just 10% daily with some circuits even less. There are places like West Bengal, Mysore and Tamil Nadu/Kerala which are not as strong as the rest but as the bigger circuits are so strong it does not make much difference to the overall picture. Delhi/UP is extraordinary as it heads for a week of 16 crore nett approx.
Ready may well cross the lifetime nett business of Ghajini by the end of its run. The distributor share of Ghajini will definitely be crossed as Ready is likely to finish with an all India distributor share of 60-65 crore.
