Thank You managed to show growth on Saturday as collections were 20% higher. Single screens were similar as Friday but multiplexes were 30% better. The film has collected 11 crore nett approx over its first two days.
India winning the World Cup has meant there is cricket fever at the moment and the IPL is affecting collections much more after the World Cup win than normal.The collections of Thank You were down on Friday evening when normally that is when the best collections of the first Friday come.
Although the film has had a low Friday, all is not lost for the film yet, Saturday has shown growth and if Sunday shows same growth then there are the weekdays which have two holidays on Tuesday and Thursday so the week can still come out at 30 crore nett which would be a good outcome considering the Friday business. If weekdays are steadier a 35 crore nett week cannot be ruled out yet. The film also has advantage of no big competition in its second week.
