Bodyguard has grossed a humungous 109-110 crore nett as per early estimates in its extended nine day first week. The film smashed all box office records initially as four of its first five days were amongst the biggest ever. It also held up very well on Monday.
The falls in the business started from Tuesday as the film had a huge release and for Bodyguard technically it was the end of the week. The seven day business also broke every circuit record apart from Mysore and Tamil Nadu/Kerala. The business on Monday was 8.50 crore nett while Thursday was around the 4.25 crore nett mark.
The start to the second week (today) is likely to see a further drop as its screen space in multiplexes is reduced by 40%. Tomorrow should see a jump and it is that jump which determine its second week business and its lifetime business. At the moment its is heading for a finish in the 135-145 crore nett range.
