Synopsis:

LOVE YOU TO DEATH is a wild, whacky comic thriller in 'Hinglish' that has a laugh at the crazy times we live in. Triggered partially by newspaper stories of greed, it includes a bunch of bumbling murder attempts. There's a doctor who is a 'sexpert' by day, a rockstar by night and a theatre director who also organises 'supari' deaths.

A spectacular dog funeral with dogs of all castes and 'breeds' in attendance! There's Sonia who's rich, who loves her dog. Her dog has human problems including anorexia and insomnia. Both receive therapy in the form of crystals and herbal teas from an attractive, manipulative therapist.

The therapist is having an affair with Sonia's father-in-law. Sonia's husband Atul and his mom are driven by greed and ambition. A Russian Israeli arms dealer (whose son is a 'peacenik') has a business proposal. Atul wants to set up an arms factory with him even as he personally suffers from 'missile failure'.

A hilarious scene with the 'sexpert' ensues. Sonia meets a born-again Indian, an 'eco-warrior' whose dream is to build low cost solar panels for every village in the country.

Atul and his mother plot two murder attempts. The film culminates in an art gallery with loads of blank guns, a single loaded pistol and some unexpected results!

Synopsis

Part-time 'Hanuman' at the local 'Ramleela', but full-time cashier at the bank - that's Mr. Bharat, an 'Aam Aadmi'. He resides in the heart of Bhopal, with Nisha, a school teacher and his loving and caring, but doubting wife, who is concerned more about her husband's promotion from cashier to manager rather than his flying tricks onstage. Bharat's father, Shiv Narayan, an old-timer who values freedom and hopes to see his country corruption-free someday, completes the small and happy family. However, there's also an uninvited houseguest in Bharat's household; Amita, a young, beautiful girl who works at a call center and often likes to hitch a ride with Bharat on his scooter, when he is not busy dropping his wife to her school.

Contrary to his wife's wishes, Bharat's sole ambition in life is to graduate from his role as 'Hanuman' to 'Lord Ram' someday. However, that puts him at loggerheads with Sattu Tripathi, younger brother to the local MLA and a bad actor playing 'Lord Ram', who is perpetually annoyed at being upstaged by 'Hanuman'. His older brother, MLA Manku also has his share of problems with Bharat, who refuses to let out an extra room to him for his re-election campaign.

Bharat's happy little haven is disturbed rudely one day when the local 'havaldaar' Kushwaah comes knocking at his door, claiming to have caught a thief, Chunnu Farishta, who purportedly stole a fan from his house, a theft that Bharat has no idea about, though the local 'panwala', Bachhu Gulukand is a sworn witness. Virtually ordered to come to court, Bharat finds himself suddenly dealing with made-up testimonies, lazy judges, and crooked characters of all sorts, trapped in the system that plagues the country today.

Out of nowhere, Bharat finds himself stuck in a hilariously vicious circle of corruption, having to bribe his way from cops to criminals, witnesses to lawyers, and even the judge, all in an effort to get out of the rut that is the Indian system. Along the way, this cashier-cum-Hanuman also finds his ideals again, learning to stand up for the rights of the common man and give a slap to the system, and becomes the subject of national news, exposing the thieves that line every lane here...!

Agneepath has good weekend in Overseas too

Agneepath had very good opening in Overseas as it collected around $3.3 (16.5 crore) million over its extended four day weekend. The Thursday release Overseas was not a full release like in India as it was limited shows at most markets. UAE was normal release but its a Thur-Sat weekend in that country for all films. The film may do around $7 million but will depend if North America can get a big number as appreciation in other markets is less. The Fri-Sun release saw the film collect £3 million. The four day weekend collections from major markets were as follows

United Kingdom - £350,000

North America - $1,200,000

UAE - $700,000

Australia - $280,000

Agneepath Tuesday Business

Agneepath remained steady on Tuesday as collected in the 6.50 crore nett region. The film is performing very well in areas dominated by single screens.

The weekday multiplex business is good and stronger than films like Ra.One and Singham (outside Mumbai circuit) but weaker than Don 2, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bodyguard and Ready.

Overall the film is probably targeting a Ra.One type of 115 crore nett finish while a very strong second weekend may take it towards the 121 crore nett of Ready.

The early figures from Tuesday for some some circuits are below. Monday numbers are in brackets.

Delhi/UP - 125 (145)

East Punjab - 52 (60)

Gujarat - 59 (68)

CP Berar - 35 (43)

CI - 30 (26)
